Nine Months Old!

At 9 months, there are a lot of things Morgan can do. She can sit up by herself for long periods of time. She can shovel food into her mouth & use the spoon as a drumstick. She can make all kinds of noise, interract & communicate with her friends. She can rip anything to shreds, especially if it is a very important document that should be out of her reach. She can throw fits at any time for any random reason.

However, the one thing she can't quite do yet is....

CRAWL!! She's trying but not quite there yet. I guess I should be glad for that. At least now she's within a foot of wherever I left her!!

OK, you have to look REALLY close but there is a little tooth on the bottom right side....see it??

This was Saturday before she broke out into hives. Her pediatrician thinks it is a viral rash & will eventually go away. Luckily it doesn't seem to be bothering her, it just looks awful!!

The ER nurses love Morgan!

We now know this because I had to rush her in this morning!! Ugh...in less than 2 weeks she has had her first infection & first trip to the ER. I got her out of bed this morning, put her in her highchair, made a bottle & by the time I gave her the bottle, she had broken out in hives!! They were on her face & backs of both legs. We had friends over last night & were hanging out in the backyard enjoying the weather. I thought maybe she had been stung by something, gotten into poison ivy (Steve picked some up yesterday while doing trail work) or who knows.

Anyhow they said she's fine, give her Benadryl if neccessary & watch her. It may be a delayed reaction to Amoxil. We'll know for sure next time she has to take it.

Morgan's first trip to the Zoo!

Morgan had so much fun at her first zoo trip. I don't know that she really knew where she was or what she was supposed to look at but she knew all her friends we there & it was a beautiful day!!

The Princess has a new throne!

Morgan has outgrown the infant seat & is moving up to the big girl seat!! Doesn't she look cute & tiny??

Daddy & Duckies!

We walked over to the park Saturday when it was dreary & drizzling. We knew the ducks would be hungry because no one was out feeding them.

Taylor & Morgan always enjoying seeing the ducks and I like cleaning out my freezer all of the leftover bread I save for them!

Morgan's Mini-Swarm

Morgan belongs to a group called the "August 2008 Honey Bees." This group is full of babies born in August 2008 & even though she actually came in July, these were her buddies in utero & out and about now too. The babies live all over the world but luckily several are in our metroplex. We met up with Rhys (gray stroller) from Dallas whom we see pretty often and Ryan (blue stroller) flew in from Louisiana to visit his family.

We had a great time & the babies got along famously!

What a day. I had somehow managed to make it 8 & 1/2 months with no cooties for Morgan...up until midnight of last night. By 1:00 this afternoon she was crying so hard while holding her ears that no sound was coming out, it was heart breaking! She had her first "sick baby" appointment & has an ear infection.

On a lighter note, of all the days....her dad was holding her & putting the drops in her ears. Once she stopped crying (I think the drops burn), she looked over at me, held her hand out & waved at me for the very first time. Then awhile later after the drops & Motrin kicked in, she was standing on my lap facing me, leaned in towards my face & kissed me right on the lips! It was the messiest & best kiss I have ever received....sorry Steve!!

The Easter Bunny Cometh!!

The Easter Bunny brought Morgan a xylophone & a basket. How did the Bunny know that Morgan likes to be loud?

It took her no time at all to figure out how the xylophone worked!


All the excitement during breakfast wore her out!

We spent the afternoon with family & moved our hunt inside since it was so nasty outside!!

Easter Bunny!!

We had no trouble finding a pretty dress but a bow to match......oy....next time I'll get the bow first!!

"See my new shoes....they're shiny!" Morgan was more interested in her shoes than anything else, my kinda girl!

We all had so much fun @ Samuel's birthday party. It turned out to be the perfect day for playing outside! Who knew we could all fit in there with the balls too!
