We took this picture over Thanksgiving weekend when Taylor and her Grandparents were here. Morgan was VERY patient with that bow. It only made it into about 3 pics....hee-hee!!

On Christmas morning Morgan was the first one up & ready to open presents!!

We took Morgan to Campo Verde on Saturday night. Those of us that grew up here in Arlington know what a Christmas tradition Campo Verde is. The place literally looks like Santa had too much to drink & threw up in there!! Morgan was mesmerized by the thousands of strings of lights. The train running around the top of the restaurant provides hours of entertainment within itself. This restaurant is the one place I always remember my parents taking me when I was little. It's been around awhile....

Playdates, Parties & Presents, Oh My!

Whew....I don't know about Morgan but I'm pooped. We had icky weather on Tuesday & Wednesday that kept us homebound so we had to rush around Thursday to get to our 'Cookie Exchange ' playdate.

Here's Garrett & Samuel. Morgan is one of a only a handful of girls at our playdates & she is the youngest girl so far.

Then today we had a 'White Elephant' gift exchange @ 11 with our Stroller Strides friends and the another one @ 6 with Chell, Dri & the gang.

She passed out at the last party by 8'o'clock....lightweight!!

Breakfast, Baby Legs & Baking...and that was just Friday!

We had a very busy & fun weekend. First on Friday morning, we went over to our friend's house for a playdate breakfast.

Then after breakfast, we went to another playdate where we learned how to make baby leg warmers or a.k.a. - Baby Legs!

Alyssa spent Friday night with us and Danielle stopped by to help us bake cookies. Even Morgan got in on the action!!

After a very fun but messy night....everyone woke up in a very good mood!!

Big Fat Positive!!

No...No...NO!! I am not pregnant again! Can you imagine?? Today is the day last year that I found out I was pregnant. Last year it was a Monday though. I had a feeling the Saturday before but tested negative. Two days later...I got a plus sign. Hard to believe a year later, I would have a 4-month-old beautiful red-headed, blue eyed baby girl.

We had a playdate this morning and here are are two of her bestest buddies, Luke on her right & Erick to her left.

Gimme That!!

We had a great weekend with lots of milestones for Morgan. First, Friday night she rolled over & has done it several times a day since. Last night for the first time, she grabbed her rattle. I had been placing it in her hands & she would usually drop it. Well, she dropped it, looked down at it & picked it right back up. She was so excited with herself!!

Then today I heard her stirring after a nap & went to check on her & she was just laying there quietly sucking her thumb!! Ahh.....they grow up so fast, don't they??

Princess Morgan has flipped!!

Flipped over that is!! I put her down for Tummy Time last night while I ran upstairs to get her an outfit. When I got back down she was on her side so I grabbed the camera.



So, she kept looking around & I moved toys around her hoping it would help her flip. I stood behind her & called her name.




Then finally! She's over! The whole process literally took like 10 minutes & was like watching paint dry. She'd roll back & get close & then come back forward again on her tummy. I was just beginning to think she was giving up when she did it. I tried to get her to do it again a few minutes later but no such luck....



YIPPEE Morgan....Go, Baby, Go!!

Alyssa is the big One-Oh!!

Today is Alyssa's 10th birthday. So, Morgan gets dressed up in the cute little outfit that Alyssa gave her with the tutu on it. It finally fits!!

Then, we met Alyssa & the rest of our family at a local steakhouse for dinner. Alyssa had a blast & Morgan always likes the attention she gets from her family. I'm pretty sure they just invite me places now so I'll bring the baby. She was being a HUGE brat before we left (you wouldn't know it by the pics though) & I threatened to leave her at the house....that didn't go over so well with those at the restaurant waiting on us...hee-hee!

I got my first hug this morning!! Ok...well, maybe not....but....I'll pretend that I did!! I picked Morgan up from her crib & put her on my shoulder. She wrapped her arms around my neck, leaned her head over on my shoulder & squeezed!! Ah, I can't wait until I get REAL hugs but I'll definitely take these for now.

Morgan's getting pretty good with Tummy Time. Now, it takes her 10-15 minutes before she starts fussing as opposed to the 3-5 minutes it used to take!!

Yummy Cheese Ball!!

When my Mother-in-law was here last week for Thanksgiving, she made the best cheese ball. It's a recipe from a friend of hers at work but everyone who tried it wanted the recipe so here it is & it's really easy!!

Two 8 oz packs of cream cheese - softened
Two packages of Buddig Beef - chopped
One bunch of green onions/chives - chopped
One 8 oz bag of shredded cheese
One tablespoon of Miracle Whip
One tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce (still cannot say that word!)

Mix together & roll in a ball. Roll in chopped pecans if you like.....the pecans were the best part!!

This makes a HUGE ball. I am still eating it! Enjoy & send some my way if you try it out!

I hate vaccinations!!

Morgan had her 4 month appointment today. She weighed in at 14 lbs 1 oz but is only 23.5 inches long. So...basically she is short & fat..hee-hee. He said she looked great & was one of a very few that he has only seen for well check visits. She's never had a fever or needed to see the doc yet...knock on wood. She took her vaccines like a champ. They always hurt me more. She was sound asleep on my shoulder by the time I reached the check out window.

Thanks Beth for the great hat!! Doesn't Morgan make a good elf....short & chubby with crazy hair!!

4 Months Old Already!!

Morgan turned 4 months on Saturday....crazy....it really has flown by. I decided I would try a little rice cereal. She has had nothing but breastmilk or formula from a bottle up until this point. She seemed really excited at first but has figured out now that she can push it back out with her tongue. She discovered today that if she screams loud enough to open her mouth wide while feeding....the spoon & cereal makes it all the way to the back of her mouth past where her tongue could spit it out & she swallows it. So...basically....now she whines while keeping her lips very tight...it's pretty funny. She has her 4-month check up tomorrow.

Taylor spent Saturday night showing all of the Christmas ornaments & decorations to Morgan.

Thanksgivng Day!

Whew....another Thanksgiving has come & gone. I finally threw out the last of the desserts that I was STILL munching on!

Grandma & Grandpa B (Linda & Dave) arrived Wednesday afternoon. We got up Thanksgiving morning & walked to the park to feed the ducks. We had lots of family in and out all through the day.

Morgan sat at the table with us while we ate our meal & she did great.

By the time the last of our guests had arrived, she was pooped. My cousin Beth has the magic touch, no matter where we are...she can put Morgan to sleep!!

My birthday yesterday was very nice & uneventful. Funny how just a few years ago I would have wanted it to be WAY eventful!! I guess I am officially old....and maybe being a mom makes a difference too....

We had lunch with our cousins, Beth & Alyssa. Then we found a cute backdrop for Fall pictures!

The in-laws are on their way so we better hit the grocery store with all of the other crazy Thanksgiving shoppers & start cleaning!!

Just another day...

OK, at the request of many people....I've decided to set up a blog. Now, we'll see if I can add pics & do all the crazy stuff all of my friends can do with their blogs.

I woke up this morning a year older & a pound heavier.....ugh.....shouldn't both of those be going the opposite direction? On another note, at my last birthday I wasn't a Mom yet...in fact, I wasn't even pregnant yet! Hard to believe what a difference a year makes...
