Playing Hooky!!

Morgan woke up Thursday morning with a yucky cough so we decided to stay home from daycare. Instead, the weather was perfect for the zoo!

This was the first time we have gone just the 2 of us so it was some nice Mommy-Daughter time.

Last but not least, we rode the carousel & then took the train back to the front of the zoo where we had to purchase a rubber frog (bibbit) to remember our fun day by!

Trevor's party was @ the Safari Park in Southlake.

They had a train for the kiddos to ride. Hi Heston!!

Dallas Museum of Nature & Science

Morgan belongs to an exclusive club - The August 2008 HoneyBees. When I was pregnant, I joined an Expecting Club to meet other Moms. We have over 100 members from all over the world. About 10 are from Texas.

We met up with 8 of them at the Dallas Museum. Two drove up from Austin. One drove in from Lubbock. One drove down from Oklahoma. One from Baton Rouge & 3 of us live in the DFW area.

We starting getting together while we were pregnant & try to meet up every few months. Lisa from Lubbock brought the cute honeybee shirts for everyone & Ashley from Baton Rouge brought the great skirts.

The museum was a great place to meet because it had tons of things to do for all of the kids!

Zing! Zang! Zoom!

We took Morgan to her first circus in Fort Worth a few weeks ago.

She watched the whole thing from either Anne's, Michelle's or my lap even though she had her own seat.

I wish I was talented enough to do this!!

The animals, elephants especially, were a huge hit with all of the kiddos.

Morgan slowly starting to wilt. She wants to see all of it so badly but is really getting tired.

The high wire act was right in front of us & she loved the bikes! It made me incredibly nervous!!

We'll definitely go back next year, get tickets closer to the floor, come early to "meet the animals," and eat a lot more cotton candy & roasted nuts!!

Woo~Hoo....Morgan is 2!!

We originally had scheduled a pool party at our house for Morgan. However just days before the big event, we had major plumbing issues & decided we better cancel just in case.

Instead we started our day with story time at the libray with Julie & Erik.

Venessa & Heston showed up before too long.

We had lunch with friends....

And then finished off our day with cupcakes or "Happy Cake" as Morgan calls it.

We did get the party rescheduled for the following week @ the Helen Wessler Play Pool but of course I was so busy running around, I didn't get a single picture. She had a blast though & that is all that counts.

Forest Park Train

I am currently about a month behind on pics but I'll get caught up!!
Morgan loved her first train ride!

The horn freaked her out a bit but once we started moving, she got very excited!

The train stops halfway & Morgan got to sample her very first popcorn. Both the girls had the box empty by the time we got back to the train depot.

We'll definitely ride the train again once it cools down a bit.
