We went to visit Grandma & Grandpa Bresnahan in Cuba, Missouri. They have 20 acres of land which contains a pond, a stream, lots of hiking/biking trails, a pool, lots of wildlife like deer & wild turkeys & of course, a chicken coup!
Countless hours were passed by chasing the chickens!!
We also chased a lot of bubbles & fireflies.
We took a trip to the Meramec Springs State Park. Taylor found a way up the huge tree but coming down was a different story.

Part of the park was an old fort. I don't think I was supposed to be touching must less sitting my child up on this old, historical stagecoach but...shhhhh......
The park also contained a fish hatchery so there were tons of fish of all different sizes to feed.
Morgan would squeal every time she threw food into the water. She was probably scaring all of the fish away!!
There were also lots of natural springs in the river which made for really pretty water.
Cool, eh?? We don't have a lot of these around here!!
The weather was perfect for spending the day outside close to water.
Cuba sits right on old Route 66. There are lots of cool shops & stops along the way. To give you an idea of how tall this rocker is, they actually bring out a cherry picker a few times a year to put people up in it for pictures. You can stand underneath the curved metal part of the rocker & it wouldn't touch your head.
We also did fireworks, swam a bunch, went antiqueing in St. James, had mexican food at this yummy restaurant, & had lots of family over which I somehow managed to not get a single picture of!!
My very talented photographer sister-in-law was there & did take professional pics of the girls so hopefully I will get those soon!
