Punkin Paintin' literally!!

Morgan woke up with a snotty nose & cough. We decided to stay home from Mother's Day Out since the cooties are going around & we want everyone to be well for Halloween!

We decided to make our own Halloween crafts!!

Morgan loves to paint & luckily isn't afraid to get dirty.

I even got an imprint of her little feet!

3 reasons we love October: Parties, Pumpkins & Painting!!

Our first event of the day was Tucker's 1st Birthday Party!! The weather was beautiful & the snacks were very yummy: hummus, apple cider & organic pumpkin muffins.

Morgan got to pick a pumpkin from "Tucker's Pumpkin Patch" & decorated it with stickers.

After a nap & a wardrobe change, we headed out to a 'Pumpkin Picking & Painting Party.' Morgan made a new friend, Daniella & a 4 legged one named Hunter.

Morgan is sure that Hunter would like some of her juice box. He almost takes her up on the offer.

Morgan picks a small half green, half orange pumpkin & Alysa helps her cut it off of the vine.

All the friends put on their fancy Hefty smocks & get ready to create Picasso's!

Morgan picked up a brush & painted like a pro.

She also painted the table, herself & me. At one point she was checking to see which color tasted the best.

The finished product was perfect. Just like my angel...

Dear Aunt Donna...

This is the quilt my Aunt Donna made for Morgan. She started it in the spring so that she could get it to her by her first birthday in July. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after starting the quilt.

During the days when she felt pretty good, she worked on the quilt & finally finished it. We went to visit her 2 weeks ago & she gave us the quilt. Sadly, she passed away just a week later. I am very grateful that Morgan got to meet her. I only wish there had been more time for them to get to know each other.

Her quilt is a bittersweet reminder of what a wonderful lady she was. She will be missed...

Pumpkin Carving!

Several friends came over to help us carve pumpkins. Steve tried to give Morgan some of the pumpkin goo but she wasn't having it!

Nuggets & new friends!!

Morgan played in the play area @ Chick-Fil-A for the very first time yesterday. I wasn't sure what she would be able to do but she had a blast!

She made several new friends & looked SO small compared to the others.

Between a picnic & making a pinwheel @ Stroller Strides & then Chick-Fil-A, she was pooped & passed out on the way home!
